The Asian Football Development Project (AFDP), a non-profit youth commission chaired by HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, announced today its support of youth football development programs organized by the Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF) in collaboration with the Tajikistan Rush Club, targeting youth activities across Tajikistan with a special emphasis on the involvement of girls in football.

AFDP hopes its support will assist the federation to raise the quality of training at youth level and to increase participation of girls in football, as well as contributing to the long-term development of the game and paving the way for youth to embrace a more active and healthy lifestyle.

“Our partnership with the Tajikistan Football Federation and Tajikistan Rush Club is built on a common vision; to take care of the health of our young ones, boys and girls, and to give them an opportunity to play their favorite sport and learn from the game and its core values. We wish the Tajikistan Football Federation the upmost success with their programs,” Prince Ali said.

The expertise of the Rush Club – the largest youth football club in the world with its headquarters based in the United States – will be utilised in introducing high quality programmes including the first ever Goalkeeping Academy benefitting 10 youth Goalkeepers through position-specific training sessions multiple times per week, in addition to a coaching programme that provides access to seminars conducted by elite trainers specialized in best practice for youth development and creation of positive environments to enjoy the game.

“Our partnership with AFDP is off to a great start, and the upcoming events continue to spark excitement for all that are involved,” said Mr. Troy Ready, Technical Director of the Tajikistan Rush.

By April 2015, the collaboration expects to serve nearly 800 youth including over 250 girls participating at the Tajikistan Rush Club in regular training and competitions year-round.

The Tajikistan Rush Club, a non-profit organization based in Kurganteppa and operating since 2012, provides an unparalleled personal growth experience through the game of soccer and to promote life-long participation in the sport.
